Will Mac users, using the new Rhino Beta, be able to use our macs in this class?

    Thanks,

I am intrested in Rhino scripting, but I am not sure how much knowledge is needed to have the work shop be beneficial. I guess why I am even asking is because it doesn’t say introduction to Rhino scripting. So please get back to me with what I will call the prerequisites to the workshop. Overall really excited and hope to be a part of the workshop, thank you for your time.

  4. Leslie,
No. Unfortunately, the current version of the Mac beta of Rhino does not have rhinoscripting. From what I have heard, When Rhino 5.0 comes out (not anytime soon), the mac (and pc) version will have some form of scripting (most likely python scripting).

However, you can run Rhino through bootcamp.

i could cry. i’ve been emailing Jody at McNeel for a year trying to get this workshop in CA, i get the newsletter today and now it’s sold out? Andrew, when was this announced, was I just late in getting this info? is there anyway for me to get in?

  6. Jesse,

The workshop was announced on Monday morning through various channels and it sold out within 3 days. We will be having more of these types of workshops this year; most probably another one in early September and then again next January. Our goal is to have workshops that are open to the public at the beginning of each term. If you are interested in future workshops or being put on a waiting list for any of the current workshops, please email Judy Krasnick (jkrasnick@cca.edu). Thanks for your interest.

what is the logic behind the scheduling of all the seminars on the same day –or– it would have been nice to take two courses.

  8. Eric,
Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe we will have multiple weekend workshops in the future. This is our first event so we wanted to start with one weekend of events. Maybe we will expand it next year.
